2019, what a year. Thank you and goodbye

What a year this has been. Probably one of the hardest I have been through in a while. It’s had huge highs and huge lows.

I became unwell and was taken to A+E. After a long 6 months of not knowing, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. This left me with a lot of uncertainty regarding my job and financial situation. I made the decision to to take a slight pay cut to allow myself a better work life balance. Still now there are a lot of questions marks around my health. I am seeing a cardiologist in the new year to hopefully get to the bottom of my racing heart, chest pain and dizziness.

Chloe and I made huge leaps in our relationship, going from strength to strength in the face of some difficult situations.

We travelled to Copenhagen and Krakow this year.

I made the decision to apply to university and will begin my distance degree in environmental science in February.

Sadly, earlier this month my Nan passed away after a rough two years.

And finally we ended the year by treating ourselves to a brand new car.

In between all of that were lots of seeing friends and family – parties, BBQs, coffee dates. Walks on the beach, shopping trips…

This year has taught me so much about how important self care and love is. No one can make me feel better but me. I have had to learn and am still learning to pace myself, to ask for help and to say no.

For 2020, I hope to get into a better workout routine, stress less, have a more positive outlook and be grateful for every opportunity I have.

Goodbye 2019 and hello 2020.
